For our August 19th, 2014 auction we have assembled a good selection of Mid Century modern teak pieces because Clean, Simple Danish Modern is back in style !! All of the following pieces are made from this beautiful wood:
Oval table with eight chairs, a full dining room set consisting of a buffet, refectory table and six side chairs marked "Made in Denmark" O.D. Mobler A-S, tea cart with cutting board and wine rack, tea cart on casters marked "Made in Denmark", two wall cabinets by Dyrlund, teak and leather recliner, set of four Niels Koefoeld "Eva" dining chairs, side table marked "Made in Denmark", Teak three seat sofa and two matching chairs, Pair of teak tile top tables, lamp table, pair of unmarked chairs, kneehole desk by O.D. We begin with a number of pieces of art on offer this month by Canadian, American and European artists including: Fritz Brandtner, Marinus Johannes De Jongere, John Der, Michele Federico, Rita Harper, Bruce Heggtveit, R. Hopkin, Claude Langevin (4), Sidney Mooney (2), Pauline Paquin, Albert Rousseau, a framed engraved map of Canada and Nova Scotia by John Thomson 1817, an Inuit carving of a fisherman,from Baffin Island, numbered to base, assorted small Inuit signed pieces, carved ivory tusk in the form of a bear.
