Spooner Auctions offers professional accredited appraisal and evaluation reports, for individuals, families, lawyers, banks, trust and insurance companies, estate, probate and matrimonial purposes. Experts in the appraisal of decorative art, paintings, antiques and all household chattels. All appraisals are done by Accredited Appraisers. In certain situations if items appraised by Spooner Auctions are auctioned through us, a partial rebate of the appraisal fee will be returned.

All appraisal reports meet the Canadian Personal Property Appraisal Group standards. Members in good standing for seventeen years.

Fair Market Value Appraisal Reports are generally used for matrimonial (separation and divorce), estate purposes  and general knowledge of an item. Fair market value is the price at which the property would change hands between a willing buyer and a willing seller, neither being under the compulsion to buy or the compulsion to sell; and both having reasonable knowledge of the relevant facts.

Replacement Cost Appraisal Reports are generally used for insurance purposes, loss, theft, damage, etc. Replacement cost is the cost of replacing a particular item when it is either lost or destroyed.
