For over thirty years Michael Spooner owned Widdicombs of Westboro providing Ottawa with the finest antique and 20th century furniture and accessories.
The store was closed in December 2008.

Today Widdicomb’s tradition of offering quality items continues through Michael Spooner and Son Auctioneers, which began in 1979, shortly after Widdicomb’s opening. The auction business was the natural result of Widdicombs clients looking for an easy and efficient way to sell their own furniture, art, silver and other fine household chattels.

With over one hundred year combined experience and three generations of involvement, Michael Spooner and Son Auctioneers will provide you with both personal and confidental services. Our fully comprehensive auction service will deal with all your needs. Whether you have just a few items, a large collection or an entire households of goods, we can arrange for the appraisal, auction and disposal of your items. Our in-house moving staff will expertly sort, inventory, organize and pack all items and our clean and modern company owned vehicles have Air Ride Protection to ensure the proper transport of your valuables to auction.

All items sold through our auction are digitally photographed and placed on our web site giving your items maximum exposure. All of your items will be auctioned in a timely manner and a cheque will be processed with a fully comprehensive consignor report forty-eight hours after the auction.

All of our sales are at the newly renovated St Elias Hall at 750 Ridgewood Dr.in Ottawa.
